Butterflies In My Backyard (BIMBY): a community-led butterfly monitoring program in BC and beyond
BIMBY is run by the David Suzuki Foundation in collaboration with my research group at the University of British Columbia and volunteers across the country. In this presentation I will talk about the origins of this butterfly monitoring program and how the data collected have contributed to a broader understanding of butterfly diversity and nectar plant preferences in Canada.

Speaker: Michelle Tseng is a professor of aquatic and insect ecology at the University of British Columbia. Her lab group studies a variety of topics ranging from butterfly conservation to responses of aquatic ecosystems to pollutants.
